A Las Vegas man who has hobbled though life for the past few years with a enlarged scrotum weighing at times more than 130 pounds has had the growth removed after a 13- hour operation.
Wesley Warren Jr.’s exquisitely painful condition and his subsequent relief after going under the knife in California was filmed as a documentary, according to The Sun.
“My body is acclimatizing. Enough cannot be said for fans that helped me,” said Warren, who became a celebrity of sorts, appearing on the Howard Stern Show and Comedy Central. “I’m still not able to get around much and enjoy driving or going to dinner.”
Doctors said that Warren suffers from scrotal lymphedema, which causes the scrotum to swell with watery fluid. Without the extra growth, Warren would weigh about 300 pounds, he said. His condition has made urination difficult and a normal sex life impossible.
Warren, who is 48, said last year that he was avoiding surgery then because he didn’t “want to die during the operation.”
Now, he told The Sun, “I intend to make up for it and treat myself to a truly fabulous meal and enjoy relaxing for at least a few days.”
